Anna Mae Medic, aged 69, of Crestview, FL, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on December 6, 1955, Anna was a woman of remarkable kindness, strength, and an open heart that embraced not only her own family but an extended network of friends and loved ones who considered her their second mother and grandmother.
Anna is survived by her two devoted sons, Paul R. Ellington (42) and Allen J. Ellington (41); her beloved grandchildren, Quintin Davies Ellington, Logan Ellington, Grace Nix Ellington, and Emberlynn Ellington; and her precious great-granddaughter, Rosalynn Ellington. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, George Cook, and her dear daughter, whose memory Anna treasured and carried with her throughout her life.
Known for her nurturing spirit, Anna had an unparalleled ability to make everyone feel special, as if they were her own. She was a guiding light to countless “extended children and grandchildren,” whose lives she touched with her unconditional love and care. Her warmth, wisdom, and infectious laughter left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
A celebration of Anna’s life will be held at a later date, where friends and family will gather to honor her memory and share stories of the profound impact she had on their lives. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to West Florida Cremations or to her eldest son Paul Ellington to assist the family in covering the cost of Anna’s final expenses.
Anna Mae Medic will be deeply missed, but her loving spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
