**In Loving Memory of Lynne Jean Hankins** 

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lynne Jean Hankins, who departed this world on March 1, 2025, in Pensacola, Florida, at the age of 67. A beloved mother, partner, sister, and friend, Lynne’s kindness and generosity touched all who had the privilege of knowing her. 

Born on May 26, 1957, in Birmingham, England, to James and Jean Joyce, Lynne grew up alongside her brothers Jim and Andrew. From an early age, she possessed an adventurous spirit and a deep curiosity about the world beyond her home. As a teenager, she followed that calling, leaving England to explore new horizons. Her journey took her across continents before she eventually made a home in Chicago, Illinois. It was there that she welcomed her son, Robert-James Hankins. 

Lynne's path later led her to Pensacola—a place that would become her true haven. It was on the shores of Pensacola Beach that Lynne met Eric Williams, her devoted life partner of 28 years. Eric, along with his children—Erik, Erika, and Derek Williams—came together to form a family bound by love and treasured memories. This was Lynne’s true happy place; Family, Good People and Good Weather.

Lynne gave selflessly—through time spent with loved ones, through quiet acts of kindness known only to those she helped, and through the unwavering love she offered so freely. 

She is survived by her son Robert-James Hankins; her fiancé Eric Williams; and her brothers Jim and Andrew Joyce. Their hearts will forever carry her memory. 

A celebration of Lynne’s life will be held on May 24, 2025, in Pensacola, Florida. Family and friends will gather to honor the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.
